The 30-Day Plan
The 30-Day Plan
What to do each week, in the right order.
The time-based spine of the resource, for when the question is “what do I do this week?” Sequencing is the whole game: approvals before work, orders before install, building access before the move, punch before opening.
Sequence with the upgraded triage in mind: every item is opening-critical (the Minimum Viable Opening floor), great-by-design (makes the office great and is hard to add later — decide these early, even under pressure), or can-wait (finish work for the punch list). Aim to open great, and front-load the irreversible calls.
How to Use the Month
The operating rhythm that runs underneath every phase — a daily standup, vendor check-ins, a weekly update, and a sequence you don't skip.
02Days 1–2: Stabilize
Understand reality and create control. By the end of day two you have a command center, a contact list, confirmed dates, and a started tracker.
03Days 3–5: Lock the Opening Plan
Remove preventable blockers. Submit certificates of insurance (COIs) and access forms, reserve the freight elevator, confirm vendor dates, and place the urgent orders.
04Week 2: Build the Backbone
Make the space functional. Power, network, IT and audio/visual (AV), access, and furniture logistics come together; the punch list takes shape.
05Week 3: Assemble the Office
Turn the space into a usable workplace. Install and test everything, stock supplies, send the pre-move email, and hold the day-before readiness review.
06Week 4: Move, Open, and Support
Move in without chaos, then manage the first wave of issues. Run move day from a command center, staff opening morning, and triage everything into one tracker.
