What This Is
A living resource from Resource that equips a first-time workplace lead to open a genuinely great office — and keep making it greater.
What This Is
This is a living resource from Resource, built for one specific person: the workplace lead, office manager, People/Ops lead, or founder-operator who just inherited an office opening — often after the lease was signed, often with about a month, often without having done it before.
Its job is to give that person the guide, the tools, and the plain-language answers to do two things:
- Open a great office — aiming higher than “just usable,” from day one, and
- Keep making it greater — so the workplace improves after opening, instead of slowly degrading.
What it isn’t
- It isn’t a one-time PDF. It’s a dynamic resource that grows and improves over time.
- It isn’t trying to turn you into a broker, architect, contractor, or IT engineer. Your job is to coordinate, prioritize, and follow through — and this resource is built around that job.
- It isn’t about chasing perfection — or settling for “usable.” It’s about opening a genuinely great office (the right things done well), with a Minimum Viable Opening floor you never drop below. See Aim to Open Great.
How it’s built
Four ways to use it — by time (the 30-Day Plan), by topic (the Workstreams), by tool (the Tools & Templates), and by concept (the Glossary and modules) — with a Start Here front door for the newcomer arriving in a panic.
New here? The best first step is the First 24 Hours Checklist.
