Opening Week Hypercare

For the first week, run the office like a launch. Expect issues — every new space has them — and make them easy to report and visibly owned. The goal isn’t zero problems; it’s visible responsiveness.

Track everything in one place

Every issue, from one intake channel, into one Hypercare Tracker. Sort each one as it lands:

  • Urgent — affects safety, access, power, connectivity, or core use. Fix today.
  • Opening-week — resolve quickly; doesn’t block use.
  • Post-opening — finish work; often moves to the punch list.
  • Nice-to-have — useful, not necessary.

Communicate while work is visible

If there’s visible unfinished work, send a short daily note during week one. People forgive an unfinished detail when they can see it’s logged and someone’s on it — the opening-week tone is honest and calm.

Close the week

Send a week-one closeout update:

  • What opened successfully
  • What was resolved this week
  • What remains open, and who owns it
  • What employees should expect next

That update is the hand-off from “launch mode” into normal operations — and the start of closeout.
