Access date
The earliest date you or your vendors can get into the space to start work. One of the two dates that anchor your whole timeline.
Access date
Your access date is the earliest date you or your vendors can actually get into the space to start working — which may be different from the lease start date or the opening date.
Why you care: the access date is the front end of your runway. Every vendor task — construction, cabling, furniture install — has to fit between access and opening. If the access date is later than you assumed, your real working window is shorter than the calendar suggests, and you need to know that on day one.
Confirm it immediately, and if it’s not firm, treat “unknown” as a risk to clear — not a blank to ignore. Pair it with your opening date to see your true runway.
