Loading dock

The loading dock is the building area where trucks pull in and movers or vendors unload. Like the freight elevator, it often has its own hours, size limits, and a reservation process — and the two are usually booked together.

Why you care: a dock that’s booked by someone else, closed after hours, or too small for your truck can stall a move before it starts. Confirm the dock rules, hours, and the route from dock to your suite (including whether the furniture actually fits through it) when you reserve the freight elevator.

Where it shows up: Property Manager & Building Rules, Move Logistics.
