Delivery & Install Schedule

Furniture arriving is good. Furniture arriving when there’s no freight elevator window, no one to receive it, or no power at the desks is a problem. This schedule sequences deliveries so the space can actually receive each one.

What it’s for

To put every delivery and install on a dated timeline that respects what has to be true first — freight booked, a receiver on site, and (for desks) power live. It’s the antidote to the classic miss: desks arrive but power isn’t ready, so installers leave and you reschedule.

How to use it

  1. Pull dates from the Furniture Order Tracker.
  2. For each, confirm the freight elevator window and a named receiver.
  3. Flag any dependency — especially power for workstations — before the date is set.
  4. Sequence so big/blocking items land before the things that sit on top of them.

Tips

  • Power before desks. Confirm workstation power is live before the desk install lands.
  • A receiver for every delivery. “Someone will be there” is not a name.
  • Stagger, don’t stack. Everything on one day overloads the dock and the elevator.
